Stella – ever the star

vegemitevix photos for The GalleryTara Cain’s challenge for The Gallery this week was to photograph a portrait, or two! These two fur babies are such important members of our family. If My Englishman had known I had them would he still have been keen for me to join him? Not only did he get an instant family, but pets as well!  I think he loves them as much as I do.

Thank you. I’ve just been reading about your young man on your site, he looks lovely! My eldest is 16 next week and I cannot believe the time has gone so quickly. In two years he’ll probably be gone..uni..gap year etc..

Stella is a Tonkinese – cross between a Burmese and Siamese. She is very svelte and talkative! Bailey, is my chocolate Labrador and running partner. She wouldn’t sit still for me to take the pix so there’s a lot of movement in there!

Love the Nora Ephron quote – she’s a personal favourite. And the pets are gorgeous too! Have a few of my own so I know know how special they are.

They look very lovely! Do they speak with NZ accents or have they acquired an English patois?

What beautiful beasts! For some reason they make me think of the writer Colette’s pets, the ones she wrote about in Dialogue de Betes.
    Great portraits!
